🔄 Last updated: 26 August 2026 — prices checked on our Skontissimo comparison tool across Amazon, MediaWorld, Unieuro, Euronics, Comet, Yeppon and other Italian retailers.
Buying a smart TV in 2026 means choosing between three worlds: OLED for the very best picture quality, QLED/MiniLED for brightness at the right price, and the special formats (32" for the kitchen, 85" for a home cinema in the living room). What surprises us most, though, are the differences between retailers: up to 270 euros on the exact same television.
Here is our selection with the real prices recorded on 26 August 2026 — and today no fewer than three models are at their all-time low.

What is the best-value smart TV in August 2026?
At today's price, the Philips 43PUS8450 at 269,99 € (an all-time low at Yeppon): 4K QLED, HDMI 2.1 and 3-sided Ambilight at the price of a basic TV. For big screens, the Hisense 85" E79S at 718,99 € is the best inches-for-the-money ratio we have ever recorded.
OLED or QLED in 2026?
OLED (such as the LG C5 and Samsung S90F) wins for perfect blacks, contrast and viewing in the dark; QLED/MiniLED (Philips, Hisense, LG QNED) is brighter and makes more sense in well-lit rooms and in big sizes, where OLED still costs far more.
Is it better to buy a TV on Amazon or at the chains?
According to our 26 August check, almost never on Amazon: the Hisense 85" costs 218 € less at Yeppon, the S90F 94 € less, the Philips 28 € less. Physical chains and specialist online retailers are currently more aggressive than Amazon on TVs.
