Best true wireless earbuds (October 2026)

Choosing true wireless earbuds today means finding your way through prices that run from €40 to €250 and battery-life claims that vary hugely depending on how they are measured. This guide lines up seven models on sale in Italy, with prices taken on 16 October 2026 from Euronics’ pages and specifications cross-checked between manufacturers’ spec sheets and reviews from several Italian outlets. Where the sources disagree, we say so.

In brief

  • The best choice for almost everyone: Nothing Ear (3a), €99.90. Effective noise cancellation, LDAC and a price that doesn’t make you wish you’d bought a €200 model.
  • The cheapest worth buying: Sony WF-C510, €39.90. No noise cancellation, but polished sound, 4.6 grams per earbud and multipoint. If you want active noise cancellation, the cheapest option is the Redmi Buds 6, at the same price.
  • The premium picks: AirPods Pro 3 for iPhone owners, Galaxy Buds4 Pro for Samsung phone owners. Both at €249.

Apple AirPods Pro 3: the pick for iPhone

Euronics price today: €249.

The AirPods Pro 3 bring two new features over the Pro 2: noise cancellation that Apple says is twice as effective and an optical heart-rate sensor, handy for workouts. Claimed battery life is about eight hours with noise cancellation on, dropping to 6.5 hours if you also use heart-rate monitoring. A few reviews note that with ANC the battery lasts less than on the Pro 2, so don’t expect a step forward there.

The strength remains integration with the Apple ecosystem: automatic device switching, spatial audio, Find My tracking. On Android they work as ordinary Bluetooth earbuds, and at this price they make no sense. Who they’re for: iPhone owners who want the benchmark of the category. Apple also offers a cheaper route: the AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation cost €163 at Euronics, while the version without ANC is €149.

Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro: the top choice for Galaxy owners

Euronics price today: €249.

The Buds4 Pro have adaptive noise cancellation that adjusts its intensity to your surroundings and the shape of your ear, IP57 certification and a case that also charges wirelessly. Smartworld praises the lightweight design, the comfort and the microphones’ performance on calls; it points out, however, below-average battery life, around 7 hours per earbud without noise cancellation, and too many features reserved for Samsung phones. Simultaneous multipoint, for instance, only works with devices from the brand.

The list price is the same as the AirPods Pro 3, but you can often find lower prices at online shops: it’s worth checking before you buy. Who they’re for: Galaxy users who want to take advantage of every feature. With an iPhone or a phone from another brand, you’re better off looking elsewhere.

Nothing Ear (3): the most distinctive

Euronics price today: €179.

The Ear (3) have a 12 mm dynamic driver, noise cancellation claimed at up to 45 dB and the Super Mic, a microphone built into the case and designed for calls in noisy environments. Tom’s Hardware judges it a successful evolution of the previous model, with punchier bass and cleaner highs. The review notes, however, that the Super Mic’s performance drops when dual connection is active.

Battery life is average: about 5.5 hours with ANC on and 22 hours in total with the case. Who they’re for: anyone after a recognisable design and better-than-average microphones who doesn’t want to spend €250.

Nothing Ear (3a): the best value for money

Euronics price today: €99.90.

This is the model we recommend to anyone without special requirements. Noise cancellation reaches a claimed 45 dB and, according to Telefonino.net, performs very well in real-world use. There’s Bluetooth 6.0, support for the LDAC codec for high-quality audio on compatible Android smartphones, and spatial audio. The claimed battery life reaches 42 hours with the case, but with ANC off: on the earbuds alone you’re looking at about 6 hours of continuous playback, and Smartworld describes the battery life as average.

Who they’re for: anyone who wants an excellent package with noise cancellation, LDAC and a polished app for a hundred euros. They work well with both Android and iPhone, although LDAC is only useful on the former.

Sony WF-C710N: convincing ANC in the mid-range

Euronics price today: €89.90 (black version).

Sony has improved the noise cancellation over the WF-C700N thanks to two microphones per earbud, one inside and one outside. TechRadar Italia calls it surprisingly effective for the price. Smartworld cites up to 8.5 hours of listening with ANC on; figures for the total with the case vary from source to source, up to 30 hours with ANC and 40 without. Five minutes of charging gives about an hour of music.

The downsides: there’s no LDAC and the controls on the earbuds offer little customisation. Who they’re for: anyone who wants dependable ANC and the Sony sound and doesn’t need high-resolution audio.

Sony WF-C510: the cheapest, with no compromise on sound

Euronics price today: €39.90.

At 4.6 grams per earbud, the WF-C510 are among the lightest true wireless earbuds around. They offer 11 hours of battery life from the earbuds and 11 from the case, for 22 hours in all, IPX4 certification against sweat and splashes and multipoint connection to two devices. They have no noise cancellation and no LDAC. The launch price was €59.90, so today they’re a far more interesting buy than they were then.

Who they’re for: a first pair of earbuds, sport, a gift. If you need ANC at the same price, look at the Redmi Buds 6.

Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6: ANC for €40

Euronics price today: €39.90.

The Redmi Buds 6 promise noise cancellation of up to 49 dB, dual drivers and up to 42 hours of total battery life with the case. TechRadar considers it a good buy for the price. They lack wireless charging and a customisable equaliser in the app. Don’t expect the finesse of the Sony or Nothing models: it’s a budget choice, but with features that until recently cost twice as much.

Who they’re for: anyone who wants noise cancellation for as little as possible.

How to choose

Noise cancellation: do you really need it? If you travel by train, bus or plane, yes. ANC works mainly on low frequencies: it dampens engines and hums, and voices less so. If you listen at home or in the gym, save your money and get a model without it.

The operating system matters. The AirPods Pro 3 are at their best with iPhone, the Buds4 Pro with Samsung. Nothing, Sony and Xiaomi work well with everything, but LDAC is an Android codec.

Look at the right battery figure. The big hour counts on the box often include the case and don’t factor in ANC. The useful number is the one for the earbuds alone with noise cancellation on: for the models in this guide it ranges from about 5.5 to 8.5 hours.

Fit comes first. An ear tip that doesn’t seal properly takes away bass and noise cancellation. Almost all models come with several tip sizes: try them all before deciding you don’t like the sound.

For calls, the microphones are what matter: among the models above, the Nothing Ear (3)‘s Super Mic and the ones on the Buds4 Pro are the best liked in reviews.

Frequently asked questions

Are earbuds with or without ANC better?

With ANC if you use them out and about and on public transport. They cost more and use more battery, but the benefit in noisy environments is obvious. For sport and use at home you can do without it.

Do AirPods work with Android?

Yes, as ordinary Bluetooth earbuds, but you lose automatic switching, tracking and most of the features. At €249 it isn’t a sensible choice.

How long do true wireless earbuds really last?

With ANC on, between 5 and 8 hours per charge. The case adds two to four full recharges. Over the years batteries lose capacity, and in earbuds they can’t be replaced.

Why do sale prices change so often?

Online shops update prices constantly, and the best sellers drop during seasonal promotions. The prices in this guide are today’s, but always check the current price list before you buy.

How do you pair them with a phone?

Open the case near your smartphone: iPhones and Samsung phones recognise them automatically, while on other Android phones the Bluetooth menu or Google Fast Pair is all you need.
