The Wall Light Cam S100 is the unit I fitted at the side entrance of my house: it replaces a traditional hardwired wall light and doubles as a 2K security camera. If you don't want the conspicuous "camera" look of the Floodlight Cam but still want recording plus smart lighting, it is the most discreet option in the eufy range.

A proper wall light, with a hidden camera
What the Wall Light Cam S100 does better than any other eufy is its look. From the outside, it is an elegant wall light that stands in for a traditional outdoor fitting. The two adjustable lamps above and below the central body look like a designer spotlight. The 2K camera is built into the central body and is almost invisible to an untrained eye. If you want security but not the "surveillance" aesthetic of the Floodlight Cam E340, this is the one.
1200 lumens and dual PIR
The two built-in lamps deliver 1200 lumens in total of natural white light. Brightness is adjustable, and there are three operating modes: schedule (fixed times), motion-triggered (they come on when the PIR detects movement) and dusk-to-dawn (ambient light sensor). The two built-in PIR sensors, one on each side, together cover around 200° of detection — wider than the single PIR on standard cameras, because this device is meant to light up a porch or an entrance rather than point into a narrow cone.
If you're coming from an old wall light with a switch indoors, the experience changes: the light comes on by itself when needed, stays on for the time you've set, then switches off. No more "I left the outside light on".
2K camera: good, not outstanding
The camera is a 2K (2048×1536) with a 160° field of view, a competent prosumer sensor in full daylight and adequate at night. The colour night vision uses the 1200 lumens to light the scene: it is usable up to about 9 metres, with consistent quality and sharp detail. Without the light, in pure infrared, it covers roughly 8–10 metres in black and white.
The AI is on-device but limited: it detects motion and people, but doesn't tell vehicles, animals or parcels apart. There is no face recognition (even with HomeBase 3, the hardware doesn't support it). It is the one real compromise of the product: for advanced use you need to pair it with a SoloCam S340 or a Floodlight Cam E340.
105 dB siren
The built-in 105 dB siren is the most powerful of the eufy products I own. It can be triggered from the app or automatically when something is detected in an exclusion zone. 105 dB is very loud, comparable to a car horn at one metre: in my tests, the siren was clearly audible from outside the house up to 50 metres away.
Installation: AC wiring
Installation is of the "replace an old wall light" kind. You need the three wires (live, neutral, earth) wired into the junction box on the wall. Time: 30–40 minutes if you already have an outdoor light point, or call an electrician if you have to run the line from scratch. The screws and universal bracket are included, and the terminal blocks are standard. No HomeBase required: it is set up through the eufy app directly over Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz).
Storage
Only 4 GB onboard, less than most of the eufy ecosystem. That is enough for about 25 days of clips with average use (30 clips a day × 30 seconds). For a longer history, you can expand with a compatible HomeBase 3. No monthly fee.
When the S100 makes sense
If you're after looks plus function in a smart wall light, the S100 is the best choice in the eufy range. If you want pure surveillance with advanced AI, the Floodlight Cam E340 is more complete (dual lens, PTZ, vehicle/animal AI). Together, the two cover the different parts of a home well: the S100 at the stylish entrance, the E340 at the back or the industrial-looking garage.

Frequently asked questions
Does it really replace an old wall light? Yes. It mounts onto the three wires (live, neutral, earth) of a standard junction box, exactly like a traditional wall light. You need the existing AC wiring.
Does the light work without a Wi-Fi connection? Yes. The lighting side (schedule, motion, dusk-to-dawn) can be configured through the app, but once set up the lamp keeps working even if the Wi-Fi drops. The camera side obviously needs Wi-Fi.
Does it recognise familiar faces like the E340? No. The S100's basic AI doesn't support face recognition, even with HomeBase 3. It is a hardware limit. For face recognition, look at the SoloCam S340 + HomeBase 3.
Does it work with HomeKit? No. Only Alexa and Google Assistant. For native HomeKit, look at the Indoor E220 or the eufyCam 2C.
Does it survive the cold? Yes. The stated temperature range is -20°C to +50°C, with IP65 protection against water and dust. In winter months at 0°C here in Tuscany it has worked without any problems.
Does the light come on during the day? Not by default: the ambient light sensor disables the motion trigger in daylight. You can force it on manually or set up custom schedules.
